Community Eye Exam Project

The Lirot association brings the eye clinic to the immediate environment of the elderly: to nursing homes, day centers or to their private homes, where we conduct concentrated examination days, all over Israel.
The examination results are transmitted using modern and sophisticated technology to a specialist doctor, who diagnoses the problem and saves the elderly from unnecessary blindness, simple as that.
To date, approximately 20,000 elderly people have been examined as part of the project, with 20% of them having medical findings that require treatment to save their vision.
